Anitha Sundararajan Joins the DFI as Director of the MMF

Anitha Sundararajan, Ph.D. joined the Duchossois Family Institute as the inaugural director of its Microbiome Metagenomics Facility on February 1, 2021.  Anitha earned her doctorate in Microbiology from Montana State University in the laboratory of Matthew Fields.  She went on to the National Center for Genome Resources (NCGR), first as a postdoctoral  fellow, then as a Staff Scientist.  While at the NGCR, Anitha gained extensive experience in the field of genomics and bioinformatics and became a specialist in Next Generation Sequencing (NGS), collaborating on several research projects with input on NGS experimental design.
