Coming from a variety of departments, including Medicine, Microbiology, Molecular Genetics, and Pathology, DFI faculty and their labs work to correlate microbiome compositions with disease susceptibility or resistance, with the goal of identifying targetable mechanisms to prevent or ameliorate disease. They are supported in their endeavors by the DFI core personnel and administrative staff.
