Ariel Stromberg, M.D., Ph.D., a Gastroenterology Fellow in the laboratory of Bana Jabri, has been awarded the Duchossois Family Institute Fellowship Grant for his project, “Understanding Microbial Factors that Influence CD4+FOXP3+IL17+ T-cells and Their Role in Tumorigenesis in Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis.” This $125,000 grant is awarded to clinical fellows whose research focuses on the impact of the microbiome and/or the immune system on clinical outcomes in patients receiving care at the University of Chicago.
