Ashley Sidebottom, Ph.D., was appointed the new director of the DFI's Host Microbe Metabolomics Facility effective April 12, 2021. Ashley received her doctorate in Chemistry from Indiana University, Bloomington and joined the labs of Dionysios A. Antonopoulos and Eugene Chang at the University of Chicago as a postdoctoral scholar where she focused her research on the role of bile acids in the function and assembly of microbial communities in the gut.
