Arjun Raman, MD, PhD, will join the DFI in September, 2020. Dr. Raman received his medical degree and PhD from the University of Texas Southwestern where he was in the laboratory of Rama Ranganathan. He then joined Jeffrey Gordon's lab at Washington University of St. Louis where he worked on studying the origins of functional robustness and adaptation/repair of the gut microbiome.
